Jordan - Israel - Egypt

Day 1: Arrival in Amman

Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will assist you through immigration. Transfer to your hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Amman - Petra Visit

After breakfast, drive to Petra. Explore the beauty of the "Lost City," the Red Rose City of Petra, known for its many caves and tombs. Walk through the canyon and marvel at the magnificent Treasury, the iconic entrance guarding the ancient Nabataean city, now one of the Modern 7 Wonders of the World. Return to Amman for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Sheikh Hussein Border - Nazareth - Tiberias

After breakfast, visit Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land before his death. Proceed to Madaba to visit the Monastery of St. George, home to the unique mosaic map of Egypt, Jordan, and the Holy Land, believed to be the first map of the area, dating back to the 6th century. Continue to the Sheikh Hussein Border to cross into Israel. Visit the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, where the angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would bear a son named Jesus. Proceed to Mount Tabor, the traditional site of the Transfiguration of the Lord, and celebrate the Holy Mass.

Day 4: Tiberias - Nazareth - Tabgha

Start the day with a Mass and Renewal of Marriage Vows at the Church of the Wedding Feast in Cana. Travel to Mount Beatitudes, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Continue to Tabgha to visit the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fish. Proceed to the Church of the Primacy of Peter, where Jesus asked Peter three times, “Peter, do you love me?” End the morning in Capernaum, visiting the House of Peter and the Synagogue of Jesus. Enjoy a lunch featuring St. Peter’s Fish, followed by a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and a visit to the 2,000-year-old Ancient Boat on exhibit at Kibbutz Ginosar. End the day by renewing your baptismal vows at the Jordan River.

Overnight in Tiberias/Nazareth.

Day 5: Tiberias - Haifa - Caesarea - Bethlehem

Leave Tiberias and travel to Jerusalem. Stop at Mount Carmel to visit the Cave of Elijah, where the prophet prayed for rain after three and a half years of drought. Enjoy a spectacular view of the port of Haifa. Travel to Caesarea to explore Roman ruins, including a theater, hippodrome, and water aqueduct. Continue to Jaffa to view the House of Simon the Tanner and the beautiful beach promenade of Tel Aviv. Ascend to Jerusalem, stopping in Ein Kerem, the hometown of John the Baptist, to visit the Church of the Visitation where Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth.

Day 6: Bethlehem - Jerusalem - Via Dolorosa

Begin the day with Mass in Bethlehem, followed by a visit to the Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus. Continue to Shepherds' Field to sing Christmas carols. Enter the Old City of Jerusalem to visit Bethesda Pool, where Jesus healed the paralytic man. Proceed to the Church of the Condemnation, and begin the Via Dolorosa, the path Jesus walked to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site of the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Overnight in Bethlehem.

Day 7: Mount of Olives - Jericho - Dead Sea

Ascend the Mount of Olives and visit the Pater Noster, the traditional site of the Ascension of the Lord, and Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before his betrayal and arrest. Visit Mount Zion, including the Upper Room where Jesus had the Last Supper, and the Dormition Abbey, where Mary is believed to have been assumed into heaven. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, the traditional house of Caiaphas where Jesus was held. Travel to Jericho, the oldest and lowest city in the world, and visit the Sycamore Tree of Zaccheus, Tel Jericho, and the Mount of Temptation. End the day floating in the Dead Sea.

Day 8: Qumran - Taba - St. Catherine

Begin the day with prayer at the Wailing Wall, the holiest site in Judaism. View Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, and visit the Ahava Dead Sea Factory. Travel to the Taba Border and cross into Egypt. After assistance at both borders, arrive in Sinai and transfer to your hotel in St. Catherine for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: St. Catherine - Cairo

Early morning, ascend Mount Sinai for a magnificent sunrise view and witness the place where Moses received the Ten Commandments. (Optional camel ride available.) After descending, visit the Monastery of St. Catherine. Drive to Cairo, passing through Elim, Rafidim, Ma’ra water spring, and the Suez Canal.

Day 10: Cairo City Tour

After breakfast, embark on a full-day city tour of Cairo. Visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. After lunch, visit the Egyptian Museum, home to the finest displays of artifacts, relics, statues, and jewelry from the reign of the Pharaohs. Enjoy a dinner cruise with entertainment by a belly dancer and a performance by skilled "Men in Skirt."

Day 11: Cairo - Churches - Departure

Visit the Hanging Church and Coptic Church, believed to be where the Holy Family stayed after fleeing from Bethlehem. After lunch, visit the Church of the Virgin Mary, St. George Church, and the Citadel. End the tour with a visit to the Papyrus Factory, where you can learn how the first paper was made during ancient times. Transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure flight.
